Short description
NHS Lambeth Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is looking to commission a direct access, non-urgent community ultrasound service that will offer:
• Non-obstetric gynaecology scans to include:
- trans-abdominal and trans-vaginal
• Upper abdominal scans to include:
- assessment of the biliary tract and gall bladder
- aorta
- kidneys – ureters and bladder
- liver
- pancreas
- spleen
The service will be designed for Lambeth CCG adult population, 18 years and above who are registered with a Lambeth GP. Services will be offered from three sites which will be geographically distributed across the borough. Ideally, the sites will be located within existing NHS facilities.
The contract will run for a period of 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years. The total annual activity is estimated at approximately 4,688 scans.
