Domestic Abuse remains a key priority for the council and its partners through the Safer Rotherham Partnership (SRP). In the Council Plan 2022-2225, the plan makes reference to Domestic Abuse in the theme 8.2 People are safe, healthy and live well. This includes: • We want a single pathway for domestic abuse victims which provides joined-up services to protect victims and their families alongside changing behaviour or bringing offenders to justice. • Work with partners to deliver our domestic abuse strategy, taking a coordinated approach to reduce the prevalence of domestic violence • Transformation within Domestic Abuse Services is being delivered through strong partnership working, increased investment and the re-design of both internal and commissioned services Additionally the SRP Domestic Abuse Strategy 2022-2027 has 6 key priorities: • Drive Change Together • Prevention and Early Intervention • Justice and ongoing protection • Responding to changing need and demand • Minimising harm through the provision of early help support for children and families • Providing safe accommodation and appropriate support Providing safe accommodation and appropriate support directly links to Refuge and Safer Options properties.
