Working with schools and in youth settings is key to helping keep young people safe through the raising of awareness on issues such a staying safe, drugs and alcohol and crime and anti-social behaviour. The aim is that preventative activity, at an early stage, will support young people to deal with risk, improve behaviour and reduce crime and anti-social behaviour. In addition, it can also support the Police build positive relationships with young people. This approach engagement supports the PCCs priority to develop new crime prevention and diversion practices.
