2552-2021 - Provision of Role Actors

West Yorkshire Police (WYP) is the fourth largest force in the country serving approximately 2.2 million people and employing approximately 10,000 people. West Yorkshire is home to a network of motorway and trunk roads, which allow easy access to and from other population centres. The policing is delivered from 5 separate districts, providing most of the day-to-day policing services performed through the county. There are also teams of specialist police and support staff personnel based at HQ and at various other locations around the Force. The 5 districts cover Leeds, Wakefield, Bradford, Calderdale and Kirklees. WYP has a Learning and Organisational Development department (L&OD) which is situated in the Carr Gate area of Wakefield. The L&OD has a National and International reputation for the delivery of high quality police training across a range of areas to both internal and external students. An important area of our work is Investigative Interviewing Training and we deliver a number of courses where we require the services of Role Actors to help us deliver aspects of that training. It is critical that the training is as real life as possible and therefore crucial that experienced and believable actors are able to perform the role as the actors play a fundamental role in creditability of the course. A diverse range of training courses will be delivered throughout the contract duration and WYP are seeking a pool of suitable role actors to assist with these courses.
