Northumbria Police (“the Customer”) has a requirement for a job evaluation and pay modelling solution, which will enable the Customer to replace and modernise their existing job evaluation approach as well as enhancing the mechanisms to determine pay and reward for staff. The Customer’s current scheme is aligned to a pay model featuring 11 grades (A-K) each comprising three pay intervals. Senior Management, which are banded posts were initially profiled by an external specialist. The current range of banded posts has not been evaluated for a considerable length of time. The Customer sees the ability to evaluate against specialist technical skills and modern job principles as particularly important as it seeks to enhance its capability through richer workforce mix.
