1267-2016 - Force Medical Advisors/Selected Medical Practitioners and other Occupational Health Services
In accordance with the Police Pensions Regulations, Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations and relevant advice and guidance there is a requirement for each Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) to have access to a Force Medical Advisor (FMA)/Selected Medical Practitioner (SMP) and Independent Registered Medical Practitioner (IRMP). In addition to the provision of FMA/SMP/IRMP services there is also a requirement (in some participating Forces) for Occupational Health Nurses and Nurse Advisors

The Police and Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire on behalf of the North East Region are tendering for the provision of Force Medical Advisors (FMA) and (for some participating Forces), Occupational Health Nurses and Nurse Advisors. This is in accordance with the Police Pensions Regulations, Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations and relevant advice and guidance. The successful supplier will work with Occupational Health Units (OHU) and Force members as appropriate.
