The Occupational Health, Safety & Wellbeing Unit (OHSWU) within BCH are seeking a provider to supply experienced Force Medical Advisors (FMA) and Selected Medical Practitioners (SMP) to provide medical guidance to Bedfordshire Police, Cambridgeshire Constabulary and Hertfordshire Constabulary. The aim of the Occupational Health Physician Service is to maximise the Officer and staff resources available for the effective delivery of policing, by efficiently contributing to a reduction in sickness absence and ill health retirements, through: -Ensuring Officers and staff are medically fit for duties. -Contributing to the maintenance of staff wellbeing (physical and mental). -Fulfilling organisational duty of care by providing advice to managers to assist in managing work related health issues. The services within this contract shall be carried out by the provider with all due dispatch, care, accuracy and attention and in compliance with good standards of relevant established current professional codes of practice.
