Description:
The Commissioner wishes to establish a restorative justice and mediation service for victims of crime in the Cheshire Constabulary policing area. The minimum draft requirements of the PCC, is for a supplier to provide a solution incorporating a victim lead restorative practices approach including facilitation, and mediation services in a multi-agency setting for those in the Cheshire constabulary policing area who have been victims of crime. This service will need to incorporate; • A victim lead RJ and mediation service • A multi-agency and contact coordination service for referrals • Delivery of training and awareness raising to public and partners, including the Voluntary & community Sector (VCS) The requirements include but are not restricted to the following; • To provide a seamless coordination service to partners and service users • To have appropriately trained and experienced staff in place for restorative practices (such as face to face conferences) and mediation services • To have safe practices with an effective risk assessment to protect the victim • To maintain the RJ Council Restorative Service Quality Mark standards as awarded in November 2015 • To increase public awareness and wider understanding of RJ in prevention, early intervention as well as within the criminal justice system • Provide a diverse and localised to meet the needs of victims in line with the Equality Act 2010 • To build and strengthen capability to deliver RJ within Cheshire’s statutory, voluntary and private sectors, including schools and academies This opportunity advertisement follows the Market Engagement Event which was held on 8 January 2016 and advertised on https://bluelight.eu-supply.com/ under reference 22430 on 16 December 2015.
