Ellesmere Port – Main Works Contract
Ellesmere Port WwTW
Design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operation/optimisation (for a period of time to be determined) of new and refurbished assets of the wastewater treatment facilities at the Ellesmere Port WwTW
The contracting entity reserves the right to require parent company guarantees, performance bond or other forms of appropriate security

In the case of an award to a consortium, alliance, joint venture etc. all members shall be required to contract in any one of the following forms:
1) contractual joint venture with joint and several liability under English Law;
2) corporate joint venture;
3) contractor/subcontractor relationship.
Where a company representing a consortia, alliance or joint venture expresses an interest, the company who responds to this notice will be deemed to be the lead bidder to whom all communications will be addressed.
Subcontracting will be permitted.

To ensure that UU remain open, fair and transparent
during this pre-qualification process a clarification
document will also be hosted on the above link.
The link will act as a platform for UU to respond to all
clarifications queries/requests to ensure that all
potential Applicants have access to the clarifications
and to the subsequent responses.
This prequalification questionnaire clarification
document should be reviewed regularly by Interested
Applicants and read in conjunction with the Ellesmere Port WwTW
Pre-Qualification Questionnaire.

United Utilities Water plc will incorporate a stand still period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers.
That notification will provide full information on the award decision.
The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into. The Utilities Contracts Regulations (SI 2006 No 6)
provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court of England and Wales
