    Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

    The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire (The PCC) wishes to invite tenders for the Provision of a Fixed and Re-deployable Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) Solution with Associated Support and Maintenance (hereinafter “the Service”) to the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire (PCC) and the Chief Constable of Cheshire (CC). The PCC is the Contracting Authority for the provision of this service.

    The PCC is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced provider for the provision of a Fixed and Re-deployable Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) Solution with Associated Support and Maintenance to replace equipment at existing sites and for the installation of equipment at new sites.

    The PCC is seeking a provider to provide support and maintenance to existing cameras.

    The service provider will also manage the end to end process for planning, approvals, installation and support of any site which is under the jurisdiction of Highways England.

    The provider shall comply with the recommendations in the current edition of the “Notes for Guidance in relation to the implementation of the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 so far as their personnel who are required to undertake the work.

    The contract duration will be from the date of contract award for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further period of up to a total of 24 months. This period will cover any call-off requirements by purchase order and installation and commissioning which should occur within this period. The support and maintenance element of the contract will be for up to a period of 5 years from the date on which each individual site becomes operational.
