    The Customer wishes to appoint one or more Contractors to supply vehicle

    spare parts for use in the repair and maintenance of the Customers vehicle

    fleets. The objective is to maintain safe, effective and efficient vehicle fleets.

    Securing value for money for the Customer (and therefore the general public) is

    a key principle and the Customer sees that such principles encompass,

    primarily, the cost of items, but also the timeliness and flexibility of its Contractor

    (s).

    All vehicle spare parts supplied must be equal to or exceed the original vehicle

    manufacturers specification and the quality must also be equal to or exceed the

    original vehicle manufacturers standard.

    REQUIREMENT

    The Customers have a requirement for one or more Contractors of Vehicle Spare Parts for use in the repair and maintenance of the Customers vehicle fleets. The objective is to maintain safe, effective and efficient vehicle fleets.

    Securing best value for the Customers (and therefore the general public) is a key principle and the Customers’ see that such principles encompass (primarily) the cost of items, but also the timeliness and flexibility of its Contractor(s).

    All Goods supplied must be equal to or exceed the original vehicle manufacturers specification and the quality must also be equal to or exceed the original vehicle manufacturers standard. The Contractor(s) must be able to support the provenance of all Goods supplied by the provision of MET Test Approved or Block Exemption Regulation (BER) certification upon request.

    LOTS

    This procurement will be divided up into 2 Lots. Tenderers can tender for either or both Lots and can bid for one Customer, multiple Customers or all Customers in either or both Lots.

    The Customer reserves the right not to award Lot 2 to any Tenderer.

    The Contract duration will be for 4 years with an option to extend for 1 year.

    1)

    Short description:

    Some Customers have a specific requirement for MET Test Approved brake components (applicable to Lot 2 only). The fitment of MET Test Approved braking components may be extended to some or all of the other Customers during the Contract term. (Note: the ability to supply MET Test Approved components is for information purposes only and the Tenderers response to this question will not be scored in the evaluation process).

    Where the Tenderer is able to supply MET Test Approved components, the Customer reserves the right not to source these components from the winning Tenderer(s).

    The Contractor(s) must be able to support the provenance of all vehicle spare parts supplied by the provision of MET Test Approved certification upon request.
