    Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

    West Yorkshire Police (WYP) is responsible for policing a geographic area of

    more than 2,000 sq Km. In its fight against crime WYP uses temporary remote-

    signalling alarms as a short-term measure for high risk victims and premises of

    crime to provide direct communications and initiate police response in the

    minimum time.

    The intention of this Tender is to contract with a service provider who can supply,

    install, monitor, repair/maintain and remove ‘Temporary Remote Signalling

    Alarms’ as specified and to the standards and requirements detailed within this

    tender document.

    There is also the occasional requirement for the supply and monitoring of a

    temporary alarm to protect a covert building; these would be installed by our own

    technically trained staff.
