Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

As part of the commitment to firefighter safety and to maintain operational capacity, the Authority requires the provision of Respiratory Protective Equipment replacement components for use on the Authority’s preferred breathing apparatus, Draeger PSS 7000. The Draeger PSS 7000 Breathing Apparatus (BA) is the only BA system approved by the Authority for operational use. The requirement is for Draeger Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts that are approved by Draeger for use on the Draeger PSS 7000 Breathing Apparatus.

The successful delivery of this Agreement underpins the Authority’s ability to fulfil its statutory duties. Lack of continuity of supply would unacceptably hinder the Authority’s ability to provide it’s statutory duties, as such, delivery within the required timescales and assurance of supply are paramount to the success of the Contract.
