Against a background where Avon and Somerset Police (ASP) and Wiltshire Constabulary (Wilts) have announced a Strategic Alliance to achieve efficiencies through the sharing of resources. ASP had previously contracted to purchase a digital evidence management system (DEM). Wilts now require a similar system and to aid collaboration and ensure interoperability between the two forces, the decision was taken to deploy the same DEM as ASP across Wilts with no realistic practical alternative option available.
