    Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

    The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire has a Microsoft Licence Agreement under PSA09 for a 5 year term comprising an initial 3 years, plus an option to extend for further2 years. This covers the period 01.05.12 to 30.04.17. A mini-competition was conducted under the Government Procurement Service Framework (RM721/L3) for the Provision of Commoditised IT Hardware & Software. A contract was awarded on the 23rd April 2012 to Trustmarque Solutions Limited as a result of this procurement exercise. The contract with Trustmarque as our Microsoft reseller partner was however only awarded to cover the initial 3 year licence term. This VEAT notice is being published to align with the 5 year PSA09 Microsoft Licence Agreement.
