Short description
The requirements for this project include conducting a feasibility study to assess the condition of the existing lightning protection systems where installed and undertake a lightning protection risk assessment of the whole site to determine the potential for lightning strikes in accordance with BS EN 62305. And BS 7430+A.
The Lightning Protection investigations and reporting shall be carried out by ‘competent persons’ and or Company must be an affiliated to ATLAS and who shall meet the relevant experience and qualifications to produce comprehensively the requirements.

Description of the procurement
The requirements for this project is a lightning Protection risk assessment to include likelihood of lightning strikes, frequency, to consider and test existing lightning protection across the whole site as well as proposed improvements, upgrades and/or repairs in accordance with BS EN 623.5and BS 7430 + A.
It is an essential prerequisite that Testing of Lightning protection and earthing systems will be required and results recorded.
The requirements shall be met by an ATLAS Affiliated Subcontractor to undertake all works outlined in the Statement of Requirements which will be distributed as part of the tender stage.

The qualifications and verification of expertise and experience of proposed personnel shall be clearly defined as part of the tender procedure.
