Description of the procurement

UKAEA seeks to appoint a panel (“the Panel”) of two IP patent attorney firms to provide high quality, professional and expert services relating to UKAEA's intellectual property portfolio.
Our IP portfolio covers a very wide range of areas including, but not limited to: novel materials, software, robotics, manufacturing, management of hydrogen isotopes, magnets, plasma, sensors and diagnostics, waste management and decommissioning, thermal management, and power generation technologies.
The Consultant(s) are to provide cost effective, general intellectual property advice and to undertake the preparation, registration and prosecution of applications for patents, and other forms of registered intellectual property across all of the technical areas of UKAEA.

The authority will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers.
This period allows unsuccessful tenderers to seek further debriefing from the authority before a contract is entered into applicants have 2 working days from the notification of the award decision to request.
