Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (the Council) is looking to establish a contract to deliver and develop the disagreement resolution and mediation services under Barnsley Children’s Trust arrangements. In line with the requirements of the Children and Families Act 2014, The Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014 and the SEN and Disability Code of Practice: 0 to 25 years, May 2015, an independent disagreement resolution and mediation service is required for parents/carers (until their child is 18 years of age) and young people (beyond compulsory school age and up to the age of 25 years) in Barnsley. The aim of this contract is to provide a comprehensive service response to meet these changes to legislation. This will be achieved by procuring high quality, independent disagreement resolution and mediation services for young people and parents. Description of the procurement

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (the Council) is looking to establish a contract to deliver and develop the disagreement resolution and mediation services under Barnsley Children’s Trust arrangements. This will be achieved by procuring high quality, independent disagreement resolution and mediation services for young people and parents. The mediation service is expected to provide approximately 900 Mediations over a period of 3.1 years or up to the end of March 2028.
