Short description

The UK Atomic Energy Authority UKAEA (the Client) has a requirement for the provision of Hackney Carriages (local taxi service) and Private Hire vehicles (with driver) for airport and longer journeys ie central London. The Client is located at Culham Science Centre, Abingdon, Oxfordshire which is a semi-rural area.
The Client intends to award two contracts, one for each lot, to provide the following services:
Lot 1: Hackney Carriage / Taxi service for local destinations.
Lot 2: Private Hire service to provide journeys between the Clients premises or staffs homes to transport terminus.
Contracts are intended to run for a duration of 3 years + an option to extend a further 1 year.

Description of the procurement

The authority will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers.
