Short description

The Authority sort bids from suitably qualified organisations to provide Citywide Advocacy services for both Adults and Children. The tender process be undertaken to award a block contract to a lead provider for the provision of all in-scope Adults and Children’s Advocacy Services. The initial term of the Contract is for a 3 year period (Estimated contract Start date 1 February 2024), Contract has the option to extend for a further (1 + 1 years).

Description of the procurement

The Authority is seeking bids from suitably qualified organisations to provide Citywide Advocacy services for both Adults and Children.Adult Social Care has a legal duty to secure the following statutory advocacy provisions:
• Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA)
• Independent Mental Capacity Act Advocacy (IMCA)
• Independent Care Act Advocacy (ICAA)
• NHS Complaints Advocacy (ICAS)
Children Services have a statutory responsibility to provide independent advocacy support for any young person looked after by the Council
