This tender is for services to support Small or Medium sized Enterprise’s (SME’s) within West Yorkshire to measure, plan, and act on business sustainability, net zero and climate readiness. Specifically, this tender is for the provision of Circular Economy consultancy support that will be provided free of charge to businesses. The project will support SMEs to become more sustainable including cost effective improvements in energy and resource efficiency, embedding the principles of the circular economy, and becoming more resilient. It will do this by removing the barriers preventing SMEs investing in sustainability measures, through provision of information, advice, guidance, and financial support. The project will remove the barriers described above by: Information The project will improve SMEs understanding of business sustainability (circular economy, energy and resource efficiency). The basis for this information will be provision of an initial Circular Economy diagnostic and if needed an extended Circular Economy review. The advice will identify circular economy opportunities which, if adopted, would improve the environmental performance of the enterprise, and reduce greenhouse gases (GHGs). Advice and guidance Wrap around business support will drive implementation of measures identified in the reviews and wider action on business sustainability, net zero and climate readiness. Circular Economy (CE) support will be a flexible package to meet the varying needs of businesses seeking to move towards more circular operating models. More tailored support will be available as participants move through the two levels of support available. Financial support The project offers grants to help SMEs implement recommendations arising from initial diagnostic and extended CE reviews that are aligned to their plan for improving their business sustainability.
