The successful provider will be able to provide a registered and qualified Speech and Language Therapist with the appropriate clinical support and supervision in place.
The successful provider will be able to meet the following requirements and ways of working.
• Provide an experienced Speech and Language practitioner with experience of working with young people 16 – 21 who will be seconded into a multi professional team to work collaboratively with other professionals to develop Individual care packages focused on independence and resilience building.
• The worker would need to receive clinical supervision from the provider as well as day to day line management from the Staying Put team leader
• This is an ambitious and new piece of work so there would be an element of learning as a team. The service provider will report on key learning as part of this process.
• A thorough understanding of DLD and broad language and communication needs is important, as well as the ability to train and support others to develop a working understanding.
