Description of the procurement

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is working with key agencies and Serious Violence duty holders in Cambridgeshire to respond effectively to the requirements of the new Serious Violence Duty and develop an evidence base for future interventions.
In line with the Government’s Serious Violence Strategy and the Serious Violence Duty, the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is working closely with Cambridgeshire Constabulary and other partners to tackle serious violence. Early intervention and prevention are key areas of focus.
A full needs assessment is currently underway to aid the OPCC and partners in determining gaps in services and how these could be filled which will help partners to prevent and reduce serious violence in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The needs assessment is running in parallel to this RFI. Any gaps identified in the needs assessment will be either delivered through business-as-usual delivery, including by existing service providers who are already under contract or where there is no current service provider / provision, the market will be approached by way of a tender process.
In order to plan for services which require tendering, this RFI will assist with understanding market interest from service providers.
