Title attributed to the contract: Provision of Training to support the delivery of the Hull: Yorkshire’s Maritime City Project - Volunteer and Front of House Training
Description:
Interested parties are invited to submit bids for the Provision of Training to support the delivery of the Hull: Yorkshire’s Maritime City Project, i.e. Volunteer and Front of House Training. The Training Services required will be split into six (6) strands (or LOTS); suppliers are able bid for any combination or number of LOTS, or indeed for all LOTS. The Hull: Yorkshire’s Maritime City (HYMC) project is a Hull City Council heritage-driven, citywide cultural regeneration and place-making project that will take Hull to the next level as a destination renowned for its maritime heritage and culture. Hull’s rich maritime story will take centre stage creating a long-term legacy for decades to come. Hull Museums will ensure that its staff and volunteers have the skills necessary to drive ambitious plans for cultural regeneration and that they are trained to meet the challenges integrated regeneration will demand. Training will underpin a culture of positive communication and in-depth understanding of the museums service as a whole. Throughout this process, management, staff and volunteers will develop a broad range of skills, enabling them to work together successfully to embed a coherent vision for the delivery of a new cultural offer. Hull Museums are part of Hull Culture and Leisure Ltd (HCAL), a not-for-profit Company wholly owned by Hull City Council. HCAL has the responsibility of commissioning volunteer and front facing staff training plus support for the HYMC project. HYMC volunteer and front facing staff training will run alongside the existing training offer provided to staff only by HCAL. The training audience are volunteers and front facing staff. Some characteristics should be noted: • Higher proportion of older learners • Many have not been in a learning environment for a long time • Lower level of IT skills and confidence • Greater reliance on public transport • Caring responsibilities puts demands on their time HYMC training opportunities will be a chance to build an effective team and embed service values in existing and new participants. Full details of the Training to be provided, including a description / specification of the individual requirements for each of the six (6) LOTS, are contained within the published 'pack' of tender documentation. The tender details are available via the Council's tender portal, YORtender, weblink https://yortender.eu-supply.com/login.asp?B=YORTENDER, Tender Ref. 59440.
