Description of the procurement
NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU on behalf of Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), Warwickshire County Council and Coventry City Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified provider to deliver Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Services for individuals in the Coventry and Warwickshire areas. The service is anticipated to commence in April 2023 and run for two years with an option to extend for up to a further two years at the sole discretion of the commissioner.
The objective of the procurement is to appoint an appropriate organisation to deliver IPS Services in line with Commissioner requirements (as laid out in the service specification) across Coventry and Warwickshire. The overall vision is that the service will enable people with complex mental health issues to be able to enjoy a good quality of life, reduce any health inequalities they may experience, remain independent and in control, achieve paid employment and are supported in their recovery. The Commissioner intends to achieve this through the implementation of the evidence based IPS employment approach, increasing access to paid employment for people with complex mental health problems who access secondary mental health services. The contract is intended to be in place for 2 years with an option to extend, at the sole discretion of the commissioner for a further 2 years.
