Title attributed to the contract: Mental Health Recovery
Description:
A review of current care and support provision available to people living with mental ill health in Rotherham indicates that there is limited choice, and the current provision does not promote mental health recovery or offer support to people to transition to supported or independent living. The Council is seeking to co-produce a new mental health community service model which reflects the mental health recovery model, personalised social care with increased choice and control for people living with mental ill-health. The model will follow the guiding principles of the mental health recovery framework which promotes the identification of the strengths of an individual, builds their resilience enabling them to regain control and supports their recovery towards leading a life meaningful to them after experiencing a serious mental illness. It is likely that an opportunity to secure a place on a Flexible Purchasing System will be presented to the market in November 2022. As part of its co-production Council is to undertake a market engagement event at Rotherham Town Hall on the 9th September between 9.30 and 2pm. As there is an immediate need to develop supported living services, organisations registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide supported living services to people with mental ill health are invited to save the date and register their interest in attending by emailing commissioningenquiries@rotherham.gov.uk. Supported living providers are invited to extend this invitation to any registered social landlords and developers that they are currently working with and encourage them to register an interest in attending. Further details and how to register will be provided to interested parties in due course.
