Short description
Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Authority is seeking to contract for the delivery of its scope of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) servicing and maintenance requirements. The requirements include planned preventative maintenance (PPM), 24/7 reactive maintenance and repairs, optional additional services, and contract management responsibilities including KPI reporting.
The opportunity is available in two Lots.
Lot 1 – ALL asset types and services
Lot 2 – Asset types and services are separated into three (3) sub-Lots
2A – Specialist Mechanical
2B – Mechanical & Electrical
2C – Specialist Electrical
Bidders may compete in any or all Lots / sub-Lots. Information on the assets within each of the sub-Lots can be found in the tender pack.

Description of the procurement
Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Authority is seeking to contract for the delivery of its scope of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) servicing and maintenance requirements. The requirements include planned preventative maintenance (PPM), 24/7 reactive maintenance and repairs, optional additional services, and contract management responsibilities including KPI reporting.
Lot 1 – ALL asset types and services
Bidders may compete in any or all Lots / sub-Lots. Information on the assets within each of the sub-Lots can be found in the tender pack.
For the avoidance of doubt, contracts will not be awarded in both Lots. The Authority will only select Lot 1 or Lot 2 for award. The selected lot for award will be based on the most economically advantageous tender/s after evaluation of Lot 1 and the sub-Lots of Lot 2.
Price is not the only award criterion and all criteria are stated only in the procurement documents

Description of options:
The Authority proposes to enter into the Contract for an initial term of two (2) years (24 months). Services Commencement Date is 01 April 2023. The Authority proposes a contract mobilisation period from January to March 2023.
The Authority has made provision for the option to extend the contract beyond its initial term for a further period or periods not exceeding four (4) years in total (48 months). Award of any extensions will be made in 12-month intervals.
The overall contract value for the 72 months is estimated in the region of £2,7000,000. This value includes annual planned preventative maintenance (PPM) for all identified assets and services and an estimate of reactive maintenance callouts and repairs. This calculates to an annual contract value in the region of £450,000.
