Avon Fire Authority has identified the need to replace our Hovercraft and Transport Vehicle.
The Authority is looking to procure a suitable Amphibious Vehicle, Transport Vehicle and associated services, parts and training. The new Amphibious Vehicle must be able to perform bay rescues in our Service area.

Description of the procurement

The procurement will include the new Amphibious Vehicle and associated services, parts and training.
The new Amphibious Vehicle must be able to:
• conveyance across nonporous surfaces, sand, mud and water
• rescue casualties from a marine environment which includes sand, water, mud, and rock, mainly Weston Bay.
The replacement Transport Vehicle may be included in the procurement, depending upon market appetite, availability and Service requirements.
