The Supply, Delivery, Installation, Commission, Handover to Operational Staff of a Plasma Focused Ion Beam (PFIB) at the MRF facility at Culham Science Centre
The system should be capable of;
Micromachining with high milling rates
Sample liftout (size reduction)
Tomography with analytical (EDX, EBSD) capability
Preparation of specimens for transmission electron microscopy while minimising FIB-induced damage, atom probe tomography (APT) and micromechanical testing on radioactive materials.
