UKAEA wishes with this ITT to invite potential prime contractors, SME’s, fume cupboards manufacturers to send their bids for the development and supply of 6 fume cupboards for use in a new building onsite at the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy which is currently under construction, called the National Fusion Technology Platform. This building will house the Tritium Advanced Technology (H3AT) laboratories for Health Physics, Wet Chemistry and Materials Detritiation.
A need for a number of fume cupboards and extraction units has been identified, as follows.
A. 1 off bespoke fume cabinet 1 (detailed below)
B. 1 off bespoke fume cabinet 2 (detailed below)
C. 4 off sash fume cupboards with a working area of approximately W 1.00 x D 0.63 x H 1.17 m
D. 3 off elephant trunk fume hoods (1 for each laboratory)

The authority will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers.
This period allows unsuccessful tenderers to seek further debriefing from the authority before a contract is entered into applicants have 2 working days from the notification of the award decision to request. Additional debriefing and that information have to be provided within a minimum of 3 working days before the expiry of the standstill period. If an appeal regarding the award of a contract has not been successfully resolved, the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (SI 2015 No. 102) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
