Short description
NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGCSU) on behalf of NHS England & NHS Improvement – Midlands and NHS Derby and Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group (referred to as the Commissioners) wish to invite suitably experienced and qualified providers to deliver Primary Care Medical Services for St Thomas Road Surgery, Derby.
The new contract is required to start on 1 October 2022. Based on the current weighted patient list size of 3,849 (as of October 21) the total maximum estimated contract value for the service provision resultant of this procurement will be £3,538,809.09 over the lifetime of the contract. The contract will run for an initial 5-year period with the option to extend the contract for up to a further 4 years and 6 months (maximum total contract duration 9 years and 6 months). The contract to be entered into will be in accordance with the NHS Standard Alternative Provider Medical Services Contract 2021.

Description of the procurement
St Thomas Road Surgery is located at the Lister House Building 207 St. Thomas Road, Derby. St Thomas Road Surgery shares the building with another local GP Practice.

The key objective of this procurement is to commission safe, high quality and value for money Primary Medical Care Services for the local population who will be served by the GP practice in Derby City. Improving patient outcomes will be key for the procurement.
The Commissioners will be looking for innovative bids that will increase and improve access to services. The services will need to demonstrate how improvements to health care outcomes are made and reductions to health inequalities for patients living in the locality.
