Description of the procurement

The service provides peer support and engagement work aimed at children and young people aged 11-18 years in a range of settings, including schools and community groups. The overall aim of the service is to prevent and reduce the impact of mental health conditions on children and young people.
The service will be procured through the light touch regime using a process similar to the open procedure. The proposed term for the contract is for a period of 2 + 1 years. The Children and Young People’s Mental Health Peer Mentoring and Peer Education services will be jointly procured under one contract, the cost which for this period (assuming no inflationary increases are passed on to the provider) will be:
£199,389 per year; equating to £598,167 for the three years (including the one year extension)
