The Police & Crime Commissioner for Cumbria (Commissioner) on behalf of Cumbria Constabulary is seeking tender bids from suitable suppliers for the provision of custody healthcare services. Only those suppliers whose tender submission can cater for all of the requirements detailed in the Statement of Requirements will be considered. Description of the procurement
Custody Healthcare Services operate within all custody suites and provides a clinical assessment of a detainees fitness for detention, interview, charge or supports an exit release risk assessment as required/requested by the police. The services also provide support to the forensic process carrying out activities such as taking samples for evidence purposes.
The service provides detainees with access to competent, qualified, and trained Healthcare Professionals (HCP’s) and Advanced Practitioners on a 24/7 basis.
The Commissioner on behalf of Cumbria Constabulary is seeking tender bids from suitable suppliers for the provision of custody healthcare services. Only those suppliers whose tender submission can cater for all of the requirements detailed in the Statement of Requirements will be considered. The competition process is based on the Light Touch Regime, modelled and underpinned on the Open Procedure. The contract duration would be an initial period of 5 years from 1st April 2022 to 31st March 2027 with options to extend for further periods up to 31st March 2032 It should be noted that the Commissioner will be conducting the tender via the “Bluelight e tendering portal” and prospective tenderers are advised to register at www.bluelight.gov.uk after which these documents can be downloaded, please note that no communication will be made outside of the system:
