Description of the procurement

The University of West London (UWL) invites you to tender for the provision of Policing Education Qualifications Framework (PEQF) Teaching Supply. Policing is becoming a degree entry profession, and a number of approved routes have been established nationally by the College of Policing, the UK’s regulatory body of the Police Force. These include a 3-year Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship and a 2-year Degree-Holder entry programme.
In London, the Metropolitan Police Service went to tender for a supplier of these new education pathways. The tender was won by Babcock International in collaboration with 4 Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) - of which UWL is one - to develop a unique partnership that reflects London’s policing needs and ensures high levels of comparability across all delivery partners. The courses include a 3 year Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship, and the 2 year conversion courses for learners already holding a degree-level qualification – the Degree Holder Entry Programme – and lead to learners qualifying as Police Officers. One of these versions is a Detective specific route.
The University of West London is seeking a supplier to provide a supply of suitably qualified teaching staff to teach these policing degree courses.
