The Forensic Capability Network (FCN - the Authority) on behalf of Dorset Police & Crime Commissioner are leading and awarding a National Digital Forensics Services arrangement to be available for use by the FCN’s customers. The arrangement will be a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), which will be in place for an eight-year period from commencement of the DPS. This National Digital Forensics Services Arrangement (Dynamic Purchasing System) is for use by the Forensic Capability Network, its Customers and other UK public sector bodies in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (and their statutory successors and organisations created as a result of re-organisation or organisational changes). This National Digital Forensics Services Arrangement is primarily intended for use by the following public sector bodies (as defined in the Public Contracts Regulations 2015): The Metropolitan Police Service on behalf of the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC); Police and Crime Commissioners, the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioners, the Northern Ireland Policing Board, Scottish joint Police boards, or any successor, Police Scotland, the Greater London Authority (or a functional body within the meaning of the Greater London Authority Act 1999), including the Police Forces of the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands, the Home Office, British Transport Police, College of Policing, the Civil Nuclear Constabulary, the National Crime Agency, the Royal Gibraltar Police, the Crown Prosecution Service, the UK Fire Services, and the Independent Office of Police Conduct. Although all of these organisations will have access to the National Digital Forensics Services Arrangement, the anticipated scope will mainly be with the Police Forces in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (together with the Home Office, the ‘Contracting Authorities’). Please note the Closing Date, Contract Start Date and Contract End Dates have been manipulated to support compatibility system issues.
