Short description
West Midlands Police (The Authority) requires a group of Bodyshops to provide a rapid accident repair service for the whole fleet including marked and unmarked vehicles.
The West Midlands Police area consists of 7 Councils of Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton. The Authority operates 1 central workshop as follows:-
Unit 3 Logistics Centre, Elliot Way, Perry Barr, B6 7AP
The Authority currently has a fleet of approximately 1520 vehicles which is made up of all makes and models.
Inspections regarding the repair of vehicles are carried out by The Authority’s approved assessor, who must be contacted where any repairs are expected to be over the amount of £2,000 (excluding VAT).
The Authority will award to 10 contractors, with work allocated by the Fleet Services department. The contract shall be for an initial period of 3 years commencing on 01st February 2021 to 31st January 2024 with an option to extend upto 24 months.

The workshop is located outside of the Clean Air Zone, (please note bidders are responsible for any charges should you have to travel through the clean air zone for any reason)
