Title attributed to the contract: Victim Awareness Courses (VACs)
Description:
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire (PCC) requires a service provider to provide Victim Awareness Courses (VACs) in Cheshire. This will be an educational option to individuals who are dealt with for minor offences. It will form part of a number of referral options available when an individual admits to a minor offence and is dealt with by either a Community Resolution or a Conditional Caution. By having this service in place it will enable Cheshire Constabulary to refer an individual to attend a specified course to be educated about the impact of crime on a victim or wider society. This course will be made available to all suitable individuals who are dealt with through Out of Court procedures as part of a Community Resolution or a Conditional Caution. The purpose of the courses are for the service provider to hold a course where attendees will learn and understand the effects, risks, awareness and implications on a person, their life, career and the wider public community. Details of the course attendee and offence will be passed to the service provider and the attendee will then book their place on the course through the service provider and pay the relevant cost directly to the service provider at the time of booking. The service provider will be required to provide access to a booking system to the attendees to allow them to book and securely pay for a place on the course. The booking process should be made available to course attendees on a 24/7 basis through an online system, to allow bookings to be made after working hours. Service providers are asked to provide a solution that can offer either Classroom and/or Online based courses and the associated costs for the attendee to pay. The contract term is twenty four [24] months to commence on 01/09/2020 until 31/08/2022. There is an option to extend the contract for a further period of 3 twelve [12] month periods if agreed by both parties. Service Providers should demonstrate they can fully meet the requirements of this specification and requirements prior to submitting a response.
All applications should be made via the Bluelight e-Sourcing portal https://bluelight.eu-supply.com/ under reference 40301 where full details about the opportunity can be accessed. Expressions of interest are being handled electronically on Bluelight. Please do not contact the buyer directly.
