Short description
NHS South Warwickshire CCG ran an Any Qualified Provider (AQP) process for the following services:
Lot 1, for Adult Hearing Services for Age Related Hearing Loss is a re-opening of the existing Adult Hearing Loss Service AQP. Providers who have previously applied, and been successful for, this service need not apply.The CCG is re-opening the existing AQP in order to secure additional capacity across the market. Further details regarding this lot can be found below.
Lot 2, for Community Micro-suction services is a new requirement which is closely related to the Adult Hearing Service requirement. The intention of the Commissioner is, therefore, to procure both requirements making use of a single procurement vehicle. Further detail regarding this lot can be found below.

Description of the procurement
The Adult Hearing Loss Service is aimed at adults
aged 55 or over experiencing difficulties with their
hearing and communication where a GP considers
they may benefit from hearing assessment and care.
It provides a comprehensive service user-centred
direct access adult hearing service.

Additional information
Please note that the initial contract period will be for 11 months from 1st May 2019. The Commissioner, at their sole discretion, may seek to extend the contract period for a period of 1 year on the expiry of the initial 11 month period.

Description of the procurement
The Community Micro-Suction Service will provide
community based wax removal services for patients
who are aged 18 and above using micro-suction and
any other suitable instruments under microscopic or
magnified visualisation that would previously have
required referral to secondary care but does not
require specialist intervention.
