Short description

The North Wales Violence Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (VAWDASV) Strategic Board, together with the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for North Wales, Supporting People and the Area Planning Board, are looking to tender for three sub-regional Independent Domestic Violence Advisory (IDVA) services. The services will cover the 6 Local Authorities, Wrexham and Flintshire, Denbighshire and Conwy and Gwynedd and Anglesey.
IDVAs work to address the safety of all people at high risk of domestic violence and abuse from intimate partners, ex-partners and family members to secure their safety and the safety of their children. The service works with men and women. Operating as the primary point of contact, IDVAs typically work with their clients from the point of crisis to assess the risk, review options, and develop and implement plans to address their immediate safety, as well as longer-term solutions.

Other additional information

Due to concerns raised around the funding model. The IDVA Tender NWP.36564 has been cancelled today to prevent any further confusion.
We believe we should only have referred to the total value of the contract, £540k p.a. and the agreed specification which confirms the Safelives recommended levels of IDVA and that it is for prospective suppliers to determine how best to deliver a service and what that service would cost.
Therefore a new IDVA tender will shortly be released on EU Supply with the Reference: NWP.37464 with a new closing date of the 11th November 2019 at 12:00 midday.
