Description:

The ODPCVC is responsible for the removal and recovery of a large number of motor vehicles, vehicle related parts, loads and other items of plant and equipment from the roads and other areas within County Durham and Darlington.

Whilst a proportion of all such recoveries are resourced by the Highways Agency, Motoring Organisations and motorists' own private arrangements, the remainder are recovered by order of the Police using appropriate powers, or at the request of the owners themselves.

The ODPCVC wishes to appoint a number of Recovery Operators (Suppliers) to deliver the provision of vehicle recovery.
The Vehicle Recovery Scheme will be managed ‘In house' by a small team based at Police Headquarters in Durham.
The contract will be divided into geographic lots, details of which will be available in the Tender Specification.

AnnexD

The ODPCVC has appointed a number of Operators to provide the CVRS - Contract for Vehicle Recovery Services FLEET 01 - 35284

The Contract will include, but not be limited to, the following:

•	Recovery and storage of vehicles, vehicle parts and items of plant as required
•	Secure storage facilities
•	A 24 hour, 365/6 days a year recovery and storage service
•	Compliance with maximum response times for each Lot (except for extreme circumstances agreed with the ODPCVC)

The concluded Contract will be in the name of The Office of the Durham Police Crime & Victims Commissioner.

The contract itself will run for 3 years (plus 2 options to extend annually) from 01/10/2019 – 30/09/2022 and then two annual extensions subject to satisfactory performance at the discretion of the ODPCVC to 30/09/2024.
