Title attributed to the contract: Data Security Protection Toolkit Training and Access to NHS Mail
Description:
The Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG is made up of the Greater Nottingham Clinical Commissioning Partnership (The CCP) and Mid-Nottinghamshire CCGs. The CCP and Mid-Notts CCGs are committed to delivering the NHS England Enhanced Healthcare in Care Homes (EHCH) framework to all homes across the ICS. Element seven of the Framework “Harnessing Data and Technology” is the requirement for homes to have access to linked health and social care data sets, access to the care record and secure email, and better use of technology in care homes. The “Axe the Fax” scheme, part of the NHS Long Term Plan, will see all fax machines across Nottinghamshire switched off and removed by April 2020. Alternative and secure communication methods must be in place by this date. To enable the sector to access NHS Mail, training and expertise is required to support care homes/providers to complete the Data Security & Protection Toolkit (DSPT) and register for NHS Mail. The CCGs seek a suitably qualified and experienced Supplier to deliver a training programme (the Service) which includes the following: 1. Training on how to complete the DSPT for every care home/provider 2. Completion of the DSPT to minimum “Entry Level” 3. Administration, support and resources for providers The Supplier will respond to queries and provide additional administrative and technical support in a timely manner so as not to delay the process or result in additional work for the Commissioners. Resources such as draft templates, outline documents and flow-charts should be provided. 4. Ensuring providers apply for and access NHS Mail The Supplier will ensure that once the home/provider has completed the DSPT, the application for NHS Mail is completed. 5. Progress reports and feedback The service will need to be able to deliver the above, broken down by both staffing and skill groups.
