Description:
This project is to appoint a suitable Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provider that will deliver health and wellbeing support to SYP and HP employees and their immediate family members, including access to counselling. The EAP will provide the following: • A 24/7 freephone telephone support service that is available every day of the year, including bank holidays. The telephone service shall provide a dedicated non-premium rate number that is accessible from UK landlines and mobile devices. The telephone support service will also include triage and sign-posing to specialist agencies where appropriate. • Management telephone support which will provide advice and guidance to managers on recognising issues and the practical measures that can be used to support staff. • An online portal / interactive web tool that is available 24/7, every day of the year. This must be accessible from work or home and contain as a minimum: - Description of the different support available and how to access it. - Detail of other services freely available to staff which would be signposted. - Information/articles on personal and social wellbeing issues. - Health check questionnaires for staff to be able to complete online. - Self-help guides, fact sheets and leaflets in a downloadable format. As part of the Employee Assistance Programme, telephone counselling will be provided and all staff will be able to access up to a maximum of six structured, 1 hour telephone counselling sessions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and other therapeutic techniques. Any sessions above this must be approved by the Occupational Health Unit in the relevant Force.
