Short description
Greater Manchester Police sought to appoint a provider to support the design and delivery of senior level promotion processes.
The provider will deliver a robust, consistent and standardised assessment centre to ensure the credibility of the selection process for our future senior leaders.
The contract consists of a number of elements, including stakeholder analysis, design (including training and briefing) and resourcing.
The assessment centre structure varies between the Chief Inspector, Superintendent and Chief Superintendent processes, in order to differentiate each of the ranks.
The supplier will provide and train assessors, role players and role actors for the activities based on the College of Policing’s Competency and Values Framework (CVF) with the exception of any board or multiple mini interviews.
The assessment centres will be expected to accommodate 6 candidates per day and the duration would be based on the number of applicants.

Description of the procurement

Additional information
Whilst the Contracting Authority is the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, the services are essentially being delivered to Greater Manchester Police who will be the main users of the services. Therefore the Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police will be given equal rights to the GMCA to enforce the provisions of the Contract, under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
