The contract provides Appropriate Adult services for mentally vulnerable adults in custody and other locations for the Police & Crime Commissioners of Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire. The East Midlands Police forces are governed by PACE and are committed to working to NAAN guidance. The Commissioners are seeking to appoint a single provider onto a framework, from which the Police forces can call off contracts to meet its requirements and aspirations in regards to protecting and safeguarding vulnerable people. The framework is being tendered by the OJEU Light Touch Regime procedure above the threshold as guidance and counselling services.
