Short description

University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, North Bristol NHS Trust and Weston Area Health NHS Trust are issuing this Invitation to Tender for the Provision of Disposable Curtains and associated maintenance .
A three-year contract will be awarded to the successful contractor. The contract may be extended by a further two one year periods by agreement of all parties and following regular performance review and achievement of key performance indicators.

Description of the procurement

University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, North Bristol NHS Trust and Weston Area Health NHS Trust (“The Trusts”) current Disposable Curtain requirements are provided by external providers, with varying service arrangements.
 The trusts require disposable curtains, disposable window blinds, tracking systems and design.
 All disposable curtains should be tested to ensure compliance with NHS Specification for Flame Retardancy
 All disposable curtains meet should meet required British Standard BS 5867 Part 2 type BC
 The Trusts do not require antibacterial coating on our disposable curtains. However if this is cost effective it will be considered as a variant bid. But this should be clearly stated within the pricing schedule.
 Curtains should be in one piece without joins to ensure infection control measures.
The curtain gliders must be compatible within each trust and fit the currently installed rails, and must facilitate a rapid change over from a used curtain to a new replacement in less than 60 seconds. This will need to be demonstrated at the presentation which will be scored as part of the evaluation.
