Description of the procurement

The overall objective of the Restorative Justice Service is to enable victims and offenders to have the opportunity to access restorative activity in order to be better able to cope from the impacts of crime and recover from the harm experienced by;
Improving Access: to provide timely, high quality and easy referral and access to Restorative Justice;
Raising Awareness: making the public and CJS practitioners aware of Restorative Justice as an option;
Strengthening Capacity: ensuring a professional service is available across York and North Yorkshire;
Evidence: understanding the impact of Restorative Justice on victims, offenders and the community.

Description of the procurement

The overall objective is for the provider to deliver Community Mediation and Family Mediation services for the county of North Yorkshire and City Of York. The aim of this Mediation service is to provide Community Safety Partnerships and wider referral agencies such as Supporting Victims, with a service that supports the resolution of disputes they identify under the categories set out in the specification.
