Title attributed to the contract: Basildon Borough Council Strategic Cleaning and Facilities Management Services Contract
Description:
Basildon Borough Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably skilled and experienced Service Providers to deliver cleaning and facilities management services under a TPC 2005 (as amended). The contract will initially run for a period of 10 years with the option to extend by up to a further 5 years; all subject to the satisfactory performance of the appointed Service Provider. Basildon Borough Council has entered into a Shared Services Agreement with Brentwood Borough Council and this contract will be to deliver cleaning and FM services to rented dwellings, corporate, leisure and public buildings across the two councils' property portfolios. The Contract is due to commence on 1 July 2019; however, there will be a phased implementation with some service streams to be included within the Contract scope over the Term Programme and others being optional for inclusion within the Contract or otherwise. Basildon Borough Council is following a two-stage, Restricted procurement process to appoint a Service Provider, in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Under the first stage of the process, prospective Service Providers are required to complete and submit a Selection Questionnaire and its associated appendices. Following evaluation of submitted SQs, Basildon BC anticipates short listing 5 Service Providers to be Invited to Tender. The Council reserves the right to increase that number by 1 or 2, should scores be very closely placed around the cut-off point. Full details of this opportunity, including the requirements and evaluation criteria, are set out in the procurement documents.
