Short description

NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (NHS Arden & GEM CSU) on behalf of Sandwell and West Birmingham CCG (SWB CCG) are inviting suitably qualified providers who are capable of delivering Primary Medical Services in Birmingham at Summerfield Primary Care Centre and Primary Medical Services in Sandwell (Great Bridge Health Centre and Parsonage Street vicinity).
The payment mechanism will be based on the GMS global sum rate (£87.92 in 2018/19) + 5% fixed top-up.
The successful provider will deliver Primary Medical Services to the patient population in accordance with the core GMS Contract requirements.

Description of the procurement

Registered list size is 5,913 patients (as at July 2018)
Summerfield PCC is leased from NHS Property Services and there is 15 years remaining on the 25 year contract. The premises are fully functional and compliant CQC requirements and relevant Healthcare Technical Memorandum (HTMs) and Health Building Notes (HBNs).

Description of the procurement

The contract for Primary Medical Services in Sandwell will be delivered from two sites (Great Bridge Health Centre being the main site and Parsonage Street being the branch site). The provider will be required to find their own premises for the branch site which must be within 1.5 miles of the current premises at Parsonage Street (West Bromwich), however, as an interim measure the current premises will be available for the first 12 months of the contract if required.
Great Bridge Health Centre is leased from NHS Property Services and the lease will be extended to match the contract length. The premises are fully functional and compliant with CQC requirements and relevant Healthcare Technical Memorandum (HTMs) and Health Building Notes (HBNs).
Combined registered list size is 9,151 patients (as at July 2018)
