The Nation Police Air Service (http://www.npas.police.uk/) have a requirement for a Flight Simulation Training Device for Aircraft EC135 and BK117C2. This project results from an observation made by the Civil Aviation Authority’s Flight Operations Inspectorate which requires Crew Training Post Holders to devise a flight crew training programme that integrates the use of Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTD)”. It is intended this will replace the use of NPAS aircraft for this task. Each will pilot will attend an FSTD every 2 years as a minimum. The PCC (Police and Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire Police is looking to enter into a contract with the successful supplier for a period of 2 years with the option to extend an additional 2 x 12 month periods which will be at the discretion of the PCC.
