Short description

Several years ago St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust moved away from a model for HEE NW whereby each individual Trainee had to purchase their own individual cover and then be individually reimbursed. Instead we procured ‘block cover’ for Trainees in regards to General Practice (or non NHS bodies) and we also have this arrangement in place for HEE WM and HEE EoE. We are now moving to have this ‘block cover’ model in place for HEE EoE from 1st August 2018 circa 1100 GP trainees. St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust are therefore looking to work in partnership with an external provider who has the necessary competencies and commitment to deliver an excellent cost effective service both to the Trust and the Trainees
